Legs are joined together for delivery. We add these strips to make sure our furniture arrives without any damage. To remove them, please check below if they are fixed with a screw, and in this case just unscrew the screw, instead if they are fixed with a nail, just give a few light strokes to the wooden strip downwards so that it can free itself from the legs carrying the small nail.
